Dear UFCW member,
We met with Kroger last Friday to discuss the Lake Charles Clerk contract and presented the company with several proposals as well as information requests related to the company’s K-Plan. We continue to push Kroger for more bargaining dates for all contracts, including Houston, Shreveport, and Lake Charles.
There have also been some recent developments we want to make you aware of. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has decided to issue a complaint against Kroger over some of the Unfair Labor Practice charges we filed against them. We will be providing more information on this and how it impacts you as it develops.
In addition, we are holding membership meetings starting 9/3 and will be posting meeting notices in the stores starting this Friday, 8/27. We will send another email and blast text with more meeting information on Friday as well.
