Dear UFCW members,

We know how long you and your fellow UFCW members have waited for a good contract with Kroger that honors your hard work and sacrifices. As we have said from the very beginning, you have earned and deserve a good contract. No matter the challenges you and your bargaining committee have faced, your union has remained committed to one goal – doing what is best for all our UFCW members and their families.

With respect to where negotiations stand, I am pleased to share with you that Kroger has finally agreed to meet again to discuss your contract for the Houston area. We will be meeting with the company next week on July 29 and 30.

Last week, we met with Kroger over the Lake Charles and Shreveport contracts and will be meeting again to negotiate Lake Charles on July 27 and Shreveport on July 28.

Again, we remain committed to negotiating a good contract that honors your hard work and sacrifices. As part of this commitment, we recently launched community actions calling on Kroger to do what is right and negotiate a good contract – a contract that not only improves the lives of our members and their families, but makes Kroger a better company and employer across our community.

So you know, our next round of community and store actions will start on July 29th, and we would like you to join and stand with our other active and involved members:

Thursday, July 29th from 2pm – 6pm at stores 136, 138, 366 & 398

Saturday, July 31st from 9am – 2pm at stores 010, 131, 150 & 349

To RSVP for these and future store actions, please text ‘SAC455’ to 83071 or click here.

And as always, if you have any questions, reach out to us at (281) 448-5555.

Thank you again for everything you do and for standing together for the better life you truly deserve.

Sincerely,

Brandon Hopkins

UFCW Local 455 President
