Dear UFCW member,

Thank you for commitment to your union. We want you to know that today, in discussions to reduce healthcare costs, Local 455 joined with a group of our sister UFCW Locals to offer a proposal to Kroger to merge healthcare funds.

While we work towards a better healthcare solution, there are still many other items we want to continue negotiating with Kroger on, like wages, benefits, scheduling, overtime, and other areas of your contract that the company is insisting on changing without reaching an agreement with your bargaining team co-workers.

We are determined to do what is right to better your job and your life. Please keep in mind, you will still have input and an opportunity to vote on a new contract,

What we’ve made clear to Kroger is that your sacrifices matter, and issues like your healthcare, wages, or even getting reimbursed by Kroger for COVID-19 testing after having to pay out-of-pocket, matter to our UFCW members.

For you and your fellow Kroger workers like Kaitlyn, union healthcare and benefits truly do matter (click here to watch):

Lastly, please know that we will negotiate these next steps, your bargaining team will continue to bargain hard for the contract you have earned and deserve.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your union rep or call or email us at (281) 448-5555; info@ufcw455.org.

Thank you again for all that you do for our union family and yours.

Brandon Hopkins

UFCW Local 455 President
