UFCW Kroger Member Alert: Notice Some New Faces In Your Store?

Dear UFCW member,

Since we held the vote meetings in September, we have continued to push Kroger for more bargaining dates for all open Kroger contracts, including Houston, Shreveport, and Lake Charles. We remain committed to doing everything possible to ensure your hard work and sacrifices are recognized by Kroger.

In the meantime, you have probably noticed some new faces in your store.

UFCW staff from Locals across the country have come to your stores to listen to you and your needs. They will be making regular visits over the coming weeks and we encourage all of you and your fellow members to talk to them and share your questions or concerns.

Whether its staff from your Local or UFCW staff from around the country, our shared goal is to make your job and life better and that starts with making sure you have a good contract that reflects the issues you care about.

Please know, the UFCW staff making store visits represent retail workers including Kroger workers and have extensive experience with the unique challenges we have faced during negotiations.

We know it’s been a frustrating and stressful year and a half, between the pandemic, storms, freezes, and then Kroger playing games with your wages and benefits. You deserve better, and by standing together, we can change Kroger for the better.
