Your pay is both your paycheck and the benefits you and your family rely on. When Kroger cuts benefits and passes the costs on to you, that money comes out of your pocket.

If your $5 prescription starts costing you $40, that’s a pay cut.

If an emergency room visit costs an extra $200, that’s a pay cut.

If your family is on the hook for an extra $22,600 in out-of-pocket maximums, that’s a $22,600/year pay cut.

Simply put, Kroger’s healthcare plan is a backdoor pay cut that pushes the cost of healthcare onto you.
