Congratulations To Our House of Raeford Feed Mill Members On Their Successful Ratification Of Their Union Contract!!
UFCW Local 455 and the House of Reford Feed Mill Company reached a 3-year agreement for all bargaining unit employees. Here are some of the benefit improvements included in the new contract:
- Improved job titles for all production and maintenance workers.
- Include Truck Shop Maintenance job titles: M1, M2, M3, and Fabricator.
- Workers will be able to continue to apply for job bids in writing and also through a QR code via their cell phones.
- Improve job bidding language; workers no longer must wait a 6-month period to apply for another job bid.
- Improved grievance procedure language.
- Improved Union leave of absence language; time of authorized leave will increase to 60 days instead of a month and may be extended to another 60 days, not to exceed 12 months.
- Improved waiting time pay: drivers will receive an increase of $2.50/hour for waiting time.
- A $1.00 wage increase to all Production, Sanitation, Maintenance and Reclaim Drivers workers retroactive to 12/2/24.
- Production, Sanitation, Maintenance and Reclaim Drivers workers will receive a $.50 increase on 12/2/25 and a $.50 increase on 12/2/26.
- Production, Sanitation and Maintenance workers will receive seniority premiums in addition to their wage increases; 5 to 7 years will receive a $.30/hr. wage premium; 7 to 10 years will receive a $.45/hr. wage premium; and 10 years or more will receive a $.60/hr. wage premium.
- Delivery & Reclaim Drivers will receive $48.75 per load in Zone 1, $56.25 per load in Zone 2, and $66 per load in Zone 3, retroactive to 12/2/24.
- Dispatchers and Pellet operators will receive an extra $1 per hour. Any other employees designated as a lead will receive an extra $1.50 per hour.
The expiration of this agreement is on December 2, 2027.
