All Pilgrim’s Pride Nacogdoches members,
Your Local Union leadership is reaching out to inform you that our previously agreed upon bargaining date of March 17th, 2026, with the Pilgrim’s Pride Company Leadership was canceled by the Company on March 12th, 2026 via text message and the cancellation was later firmed up on March 16th, 2026 with a telephone call from a company spokesperson. The Company’s reason for the cancelation was due to the Company’s ongoing labor dispute with another UFCW Local Union and a JBS Beef Plant in Greeley, Colorado. As of March 16th, 2026, those JBS Beef plant workers are currently on strike against the Company.
Your Local Union Leadership has had discussions with the Company to reiterate the importance of rescheduling these bargaining dates immediately and keeping our commitment to the dates that are set for the Pilgrims Pride Nacogdoches contract that has been expired since July 5th, 2025. Pilgrim’s Pride Nacogdoches workers do not deserve to be pushed aside! You deserve a strong contract now!
The need to Stand up for a strong Union Contract is important now more than ever! It is important that you let your voice be heard by voting to give your bargaining committee strike authorization via E-ballot.If you have not done so, please reach out to your Union Representative Oscar Martinez, or click on the link below.
Working together we can and will make Pilgrim’s Pride Nacogdoches a better place to work.
In Solidarity,
Your Union Bargaining Committee and your Local Union President
W. Brandon Hopkins
