Congratulations To Our Nan Ya Plastics Members On Their Successful Ratification Of Their Improved Union Contract!!
UFCW Local 455 and Nan Ya Plastics reached an agreement for all bargaining unit employees. Here are some of the improvements included in the new contract:
- Improved contract language for employees with a guaranteed of 36 hours per week.
- Workers will receive an hourly pay increase effective and retroactive from June 17th, 2023, and an additional increase for the life of the contract effective June 17th, 2024.
- Should the Company decide to temporarily close the facility, it will provide written notification to the Union or selected employees, giving them a 48-hour warning, as well as including a list of the individuals who would be impacted by the shutdown.
The expiration of this agreement is on June 17, 2025.
