Dear Local 455 Kroger Members,
As we continue bargaining with the Company this week, it’s important each Kroger Houston worker does whatever is within your power to support your Union Bargaining Committee in its contract bargaining with the Company. Coordinate with your Union Representative and Union Stewards on the best ways you can help your Union secure good contracts in Houston. With not enough progress being made at the bargaining table, on the issues that matter to you most, your Bargaining Committee believes the best course of action, while we continue our contract talks with the Company, is to continue gathering our membership vote to authorize the Committee to call a strike. This will keep us prepared, in the event a contract is not reached by expiration, that you can support.

As we continue the strike vote, we will also be moving forward with votes in each store parking lot, starting the week of 2/12. Fellow rank and file Union members will be in each store parking lot to help answer questions on voting days. It’s important we continue to stand together for contracts that reward your hard work and allow our membership to be lifted up. Send a loud and clear message to Kroger that they can and should do more. Working together we will make Kroger a better place to work.
Your Kroger Houston Bargaining Committee & Local Union President Brandon Hopkins.
