We are excited to announce that we have endorsed Amanda Edwards for Congressional District 18.
Amanda has a very strong record of supporting labor and the workforce of Metropolitan Houston, even in the face of opposition from the industry establishment. As a former At-Large City Council Member in Houston, she led efforts to protect workers and helped grow labor presence in the city. When elected to Congress, Amanda will bring a deep respect for and commitment to labor unions and will be a vocal advocate for our support and expansion.
Voting in this special election is happening now in Congressional District 18. We encourage all of our members in the district to vote now, and also urge your family and friends to vote for Amanda. Early Voting runs through Friday, October 31st, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th. (Hours listed below). Election Day: Vote Centers will accept voters from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, Election Day.
