All Pilgrim’s Pride Nacogdoches workers,

Your Local Union bargaining Committee and Local Union Leadership have been working hard over the last 12 months to try to secure a Committee-recommended agreement with the Pilgrims Pride Company that rewards you and your families fairly for the hard work you do every day.

Following the final offer we received from the Company on 6/22/26 , the Local Union and bargaining committee attempted to offer counter proposals and several additional pathways to the Company for a bargaining committee & Local recommended settlement but the Company has no interest in continuing bargaining and wants the membership to vote on wether the Company’s offer meets your standards. We do not believe it does. Your bargaining committee & Local leadership do not support the offer or believe it is good enough to earn your support. We believe additional bargaining is needed to secure a fair package for you and your families.

– You cannot afford to take less –

The Local Union will be holding a vote on the Company’s “Final Offer” at the following location, Hampton Inn 3625 South St. in Nacogdoches on Thursday, 7/16/2026, from 8 AM to 7 PM.

Be sure to attend the vote to make your voice heard!

The Company’s Offer falls short in the following key areas:

  • Union Bargaining Committee- does not have the support or recommendation of your Union Bargaining Committee.
  • Wages- first year offer of $0.80, but the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year wage offers are less than $0.50 per year.
  • 4-year deal- longer contract, during a time of economic uncertainty, coupled with low wage offers in the out years of the contract.
  • Attendance- implemented a change in April of 2025 that they did not negotiate with the Local Union and are not offering a guaranteed fix.
  • Vacation- the Company proposed an offer that would reward all bargaining unit employees with more vacation time, similar to what they offer the non-Union employees, but the Company, in bad faith, later moved backwards on their proposal and offered a lesser improvement only for a small number of employees.

For these reasons, Your Local Union bargaining Committee and Leadership are recommending you reject the Company’s Final offer and vote to give your Local Union bargaining Committee strike authorization. Please make plans to attend this important meeting and make your voice heard.

Working together we can and will make Pilgrim’s Pride Nacogdoches a better place to work.

In Solidarity,

Your Union Bargaining Committee and your Local Union President

W. Brandon Hopkins
