Your Foster Farms Bargaining Committee, and other rank-n-file members just like you, held a membership meeting on 3/28, at the Old Town Hall 407 S. Main Street Farmerville, La 71241 from 8am to 8pm, and, in that meeting, your coworkers continued to vote to authorize the Bargaining Committee to have Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) Strike authority, when and if necessary. It was also decided the Local would continue to hold membership meetings, locally, to build on our progress to work on making things better at Foster Farms Farmerville and to keep working towards a stronger contract agreement and safer workplace for you and your coworkers.
Your bargaining team met with Company negotiators on 3/26/25 & 3/27/25 to continue working on and discussing the workplace issues that matter to you most, but without much progress being made in those meetings. We have additional bargaining dates being scheduled with the Company, and the Local is going to continue to hold membership meetings in the Farmerville area to continue the ULP strike vote. The Local has also retained the services of a mobile voting portal that will allow members in your plant, who have not yet voted in the ULP strike vote, to have the opportunity to vote by phone or electronic device to make their voices heard. Online voting begins today, and you must be a member to vote. It is important to stand together and send a loud and clear message to Foster Farms Farmerville that things need to get better, not swept under the rug or ignored.
The next membership meeting for all Foster Farms Farmerville workers will be on 5/7/25 at the Old Town Hall 407 S. Main Street, Farmerville, La 71271, to proceed with the ULP Strike Authorization Vote, and further discus next steps for your contract bargaining. If you also think things at Foster Farms Farmerville need to change, come to the meeting on 5/7/25 at the Old Town Hall 407 S. Main Street, Farmerville, La 71271 and support your coworkers. We hope to see you there!
Working together, we can and will make Foster Farms in Farmerville a better place to work.
