Dear Wayne Sanderson Members,
Your Local Union held the vote on the company’s Last, Best, and Final offer and Union strike authorization on Friday, March 20th , 2026, at the Holiday Inn in Hammond La. The members in attendance voted to reject the company’s Last, Best, and Final offer and give strike authority to the Local Union.
In this meeting, it was also discussed that the Local Union Leadership would be extending the vote on the Last, Best, and Final offer, and the vote to give your Local Union Strike Authority, via electronic ballot (E-Ballot), so that all the members have an opportunity to vote. The electronic ballot (E-Ballot) will be live, starting at 8am Central, April 1, 2026.
It is important that all members make their voices heard by voting via E-ballot to reject the company’s Last, Best, and Final offer, and vote to give your Local Union Strike authority. While we continue to vote, we will push the Company for more bargaining dates and will keep you posted on future dates. We need to send a loud message to Wayne Sanderson Farms that the workers in the Hammond facility do not deserve less than the other facilities!
The Local Union will have your Union representatives on the ground, helping members vote via E-Ballot, and members can also scan the QR code below with your electronic device, to vote. It is important now, more than ever, to vote. Together, we can and will make Wayne Sanderson Farms Hammond a better place to work. You must be a member to vote.
