KROGER AGREES TO HAZARD PAY AND ENHANCED POLICIES

- Hazard pay will be paid on all hours worked between 3/29 – 4/18/2020
- Emergency Paid Leave provided whether experiencing symptoms and self-isolating or diagnosed or placed in quarantine
- A new benefit allowing most hourly associates access to some of their pay faster
- Assistance for those facing hardship due to COVID-19, including lack of childcare and for those considered high-risk
After members called out Kroger for not providing the pay and safety equipment they need and deserve, Kroger has agreed to implement hazard pay and enhanced policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
$2 Per Hour Pay Increase on all hours worked between 3/29 – 4/18/2020
Emergency Paid Leave for any associate who is affected by COVID-19 (whether self-isolating, diagnosed or placed in quarantine)
Additional Cleaning & Sanitizing to allow for hand washing and sanitizing registers
Shortened Store Operating Hours to allow restocking, cleaning and appropriate rest and relief for associates
Installing Plexiglas Partitions at check lanes, pharmacy and Starbucks registers
Adding Floor Decals to promote physical distancing at check lanes
Adding ExpressPay Benefit that allows most hourly associates to access some of their pay faster
Financial Assistance for Childcare and other needs
Employee Hotline to answer benefit questions quickly
Expanded Healthcare Services to support associates’ mental and physical well-being during this stressful time
